The "Basic and Intermediate Barista" course takes place over two days for a total of 12 hours.

It provides a theoretical practical training that involves coffee from its origins, to botany, to the types of roasting and blending suitable for the various operational situations of the bar, to tasting to recognize the quality and defects of the product and to decide on the purchase, types of equipment , operating techniques, coffee machine and grinder adjustments to obtain the perfect espresso, frothing milk for Italian cappuccino and introduction to latte art, maintenance and cleaning of equipment, introduction to Specialty Coffee and alternative extractions (V60, Chemex , Siphon, Cold Brew, etc.), introduction to mixing with coffee for cocktails.

For the participant, it is not a static and passive course but instead it is a laboratory for the exchange of experiences and comparison.

The course involves the participation of a maximum of 4 students and is flexible to adapt to the experience and information needed by the barista.
